Tri Golf festival

Some children in KS1 took part in a Tri Golf Festival at KES on 6th May 2016.

During Key Stage 1 PE lessons, we have all been having a go at Tri Golf, using both the putter and chipper clubs. It has been great to try a new sport and after 3 weeks of practise, we were beginning to putt the ball confidently and some of us were beginning to chip the ball into the air for the longer distances!

On Friday 6th May a group of boys and girls from KS1 went to KES to take part in a Tri Golf Festival, with 16 other schools. The children used their putting and their chipping skills fantastically well over a range of 8 different golf activities. It was a very hot afternoon so lots of water was required in between our shots. Some activities required the ball to be chipped/putted to touch a cone and some were into different hoops, with lots of different distances.

Well done to all the children that came, it was a brilliant afternoon! We look forward to next year. Miss Ingham.
