Terrington St Clement Community School

A traditional school with traditional values where

we aspire, succeed and thrive

28th April 2015

We were visited today by some stick insects!  Harry thought they were “Awesome!”   The children found ou t that they had ‘sticky’ feet to help them climb, 6 legs, antennae to help them find their way about, tiny eyes, lay eggs and came from different parts of the world (none found in UK).

They also looked at a spider ‘casing’ from a tarantula.  It was huge and hairy and when it had shed the skin, the spider had left the fangs behind!  The children found out that it had 8 legs which joined on where its head was!  It also had antennae, laid eggs and came from another country.  Click here to see some more photographs.
