Children start school in the September after their fourth birthday. If your child was born between 1st Sept 2019 and 31st August 2020, you can now apply for them to start reception in Sept 2024. through the Norfolk School Admissions website.

You can apply for a place from autumn the year before they are due to start reception. This year's application window runs from 1st Sept 2023 and will close on 15th January 2024. It is important to apply as soon as you can. You must apply for a reception class place even if your child currently goes to a nursery at a school. Going to a nursery attached to a school will not automatically receive a reception place at the school.
