We will always take your concerns very seriously. Mostly we find communication is at the heart of complaints. Good communication is vital between home and school and school and home.
Miss Hackett (headteacher) is on duty every morning before school. This is an ideal time to catch her if you are concerned about anything. If Miss Hackett is out of school for any reason, Miss Adams (deputy headteacher) is on duty. Support staff are on duty for all doors before school. Messages can be passed to these staff or you can ask any questions. If they do not know the answer, they will find out for you.
We appreciate many of our working parents do not have the opportunity to take advantage of this informal opportunity. There are several ways you can communicate with the school if you are not able to take advantage of these informal opportunities:
- Send a note in your child's reading diary or send a note in an envelope for the attention of the classteacher.
- Phone the school office and ask the classteacher to give you a call. They will respond during their first available break time or immediatly they are free after school.
- Email the office on email@example.com We do not give personal / work emails for individual members of staff as we have to be careful not to increase their workload in the evening as this is the only time they have to access their emails.
- If you have an urgent matter to report, you can email the headteacher on firstname.lastname@example.org This email address should however only be used for urgent matters rather than used to bypass the school system for sharing concerns/asking questions.
