Details of the Provision
The main reason children are referred to a speech and language SRB is because their needs are primarily speech / language based, rather than secondary to general learning delay, emotional or behaviour difficulty. Because of this, our approach to teaching and learning at the SRB is as follows:
- Speech and language is the main focus for our teaching and learning.
- We concentrate on the core subjects of reading, writing and maths with a high speech and language content. This is linked to the National Curriculum for their year group. See link: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/national-curriculum
