Susan, the guide dog

Guide Dog

Susan the guide dog is still bringing Genene in to visit regularly this year.  They love to hear the children read.  The children love to make a fuss of Susan. Click here to see some photographs.

We have regular visits from Genene and her guide dog, Susan.  They like to hear the children read, and the children like to make a fuss of Susan.  This week, on Tuesday 24th November, Genene brought her friend Helen from the Guide Dogs Peterborough Mobility Team.  Helen told us about Braille and how blind people learn to read and write.  The children learnt to write their names using Braille dots.  They then tried to throw and catch a ball whilst wearing a blindfold – very tricky!  Click here to see the photographs.
